Malta has a vibrant Tourism industry, with
more than 1 million visitors a year, it is now the country's largest source of
income, as with other parts of the service sector, employing 74 percent of the
population. The Island of Malta is located in the Mediterranean, and it is a
country rich in numerous historic sites, especially those relating to
successive rule by the Romans, French and British. With a population of less
than 500,000 people, Malta is regarded as the Mediterranean Island paradise,
with great tourist attractions such as the romantic Valletta waterfront, The
Tarxien temples, and the National war museum.
