Visit Valletta

Another day in paradise Malta. A little more precisely, it was Valletta who was just today. My wife and I went there to get renewed ID card and it became both the first glass and sumptuous lunch at the seafood restaurant.

We started by taking us to the Evans Building on the waterfront. You have to be there in the morning before they close and then not be mesmerized by the stunning sea views located just close to the office for all expats.

Then it was time to stroll around and eat ice cream.

The ability to just sit and socialize with an ice cream in the hand in the middle of one of Valletta's sunny squares, while a street musician and church bells elevates mood with a long history. We found the ice cream bar of our lives. The same brand we used to buy, Amorino, when we were on holiday in Portugal a few years ago. Truly something unique that all ice cream lovers must try.

With ice cream in the stomach, we walked around for a while and watched the shops in Valletta's streets. The city may not be cutting edge, but all the old history and architecture that remains to engage in, as residents and tourists, none get tired of. And there's the seafront of course, it's unbeatable!

Now then. Well seafood restaurant of course. My wife had sea bass and I tried pasta with squid. So good food, I have not eaten in a long time. The restaurant we ate at is called LA PIRA. They are very flexible with food when it comes to allergies and I highly recommend them.

The day was indeed wonderful. Whether we look to the parties, activities or weather. But finally, it was time to move home again, and round off the day with a short bus ride back to St Julians.
