Restaurants - there are better ones, and there are worse ones - even in St Julian's, Malta. Our jury visited a selection of restaurants in St Julian's, Malta. Not having tried all the restaurants in the areas, here are some recommendations.
Criteria to evaluate was performance of staff, location and the taste of the food of course. Performance from the staff was measured by adapting to certain allergies and customer service. The location became very various, since it was more or less sea view and some close to the party district Paceville
St Julian's turn out to be a fish district. Our recommendations is to visit Pexxi in Spinola Bay. A nice fish restaurant serving high quality fresh fish. The catch of the day might have been a little bit pricy, but the service included was amazing. The staff introduced us to the details of all the fishes the caught the same day and adapted the meal according to various allergies. Also, they rinsed the fish at the table. The food was served in an excellent way and it was lovely to sit next to the sea in Spinola Bay during the evening.
Also, Hugo's Lounge in Paceville, St Julian's, offers sumptuous oriental dishes and a great selection of cocktails. This is a terrific sushi bar. Fantastic sushi, fresh and tasty. Maybe you won't find the same personal touch in the staff as you would at Pexxi, but if you are looking for sushi this is the place to go to. It is in the central parts of the party district and should not be mixed up with Hugo's Pub in the same area. It is a place full of life but is missing the sea view.
