Trumps Great Weakness: The Paris Accord

President Donald Trump
Many things can be said about President Donald Trump. But one thing is for sure, it is impossible to describe the wealthy man as a friend of the environment. He proved this opinion in his speech yesterday evening.  President Trump said:
"As of today, the United States will cease all implementation of the nonbinding Paris accord,"
He also said he can think of re-entering the agreement If it will be profitable for the US.
Trumps sayings has always been pro domestic care. International politics might therefore grown weaker during his presidency.
Former US President Barack Obama had agreed to reduce emissions to 26 percent to 28 percent of 2005 levels by 2025 — about 1.6 billion tons, according to Associated Press. Trump can not compete with it apparently.
Nobody knows how his actions will affect climate change worldwide. Local effects seen in Malta because of this action in uncountable. But Swedish scientist Johan Rockström told the Swedish television news Aktuellt, the broken Paris accord might be a non-issue in a long term perspective.
Malta is just a small island, far from the US by distance, but climate change is a global issue.
