Malta is the third largest polluter of 12 countries in Southern Europe, after Macedonia (1) and Albania (2), according to recent data from the study site Numbeo.
This might be because of several things. Unorganized traffic, undeveloped garbage processing, imports by boat, great tourism and a growing business sectors are all a part of Malta. Things which in large scale contribute to pollution in various ways.
Slovenia (12) is ranking as the country having lowest pollution in Southern Europe.
